The Kentucky Division of Waste Management mission is to protect human health and the environment by minimizing adverse impacts on all citizens of the commonwealth through the development and implementation of fair, equitable and effective waste management programs.
The division consists of eight branches: Program Planning and Administration, Field Operations, Hazardous Waste, Solid Waste, Recycling and Local Assistance, Superfund, Underground Storage Tanks and the Director's Office. The Enforcement Branch was abolished and its staff transferred to the Division of Enforcement.
